Your Love

Your love is cold

Like winter nights without a stove

Freezing all the emotions I had within

It is bitter

Brutal

A sin

But your love never hurts

It never rips at my core

Trample my being

It is soft on my cheeks

Like snow flakes on a winter day

Your love is a cage

Like shelter from the rain

Taking away what I desire

My freedom hags from the ceiling

Your love holds me here

A bitter feeling

A love so sweet

Traps me with promises

Holds me steady for my vows

I am trapped

For all to see

May you define

Your love to me
