5 Fruits You Should Have At Your SuperBowl Party

The day has arrived again, yet another year and we probably know who will win but let’s try and be optimistic anyhow.

If you are throwing a party this year there are five fruits that I highly recommend for you to serve your guests. Not everyone will be interested in the chips and soda, so be a pal and put some fruits out.

Blueberries, Please!

These delicious babies are currently on sale in many of your local grocery stores. Pick some up for your guests and if you want to make a fruit salad then go for it.

Pineapple Anyone?

These lovely yellow sweet bombs are packed with flavor. You can make pina colada if you are feeling festive or just add it to your favorite smoothie. Try wrapping it in bacon and putting them in the oven for 25-30 minutes on 375 degrees Fahrenheit. And have a delicious appetizer.

Grapes, Oh Yes!

Who doesn’t like snacking on grapes? Although these may be a bit sweet for your guest, try pairing them with some crispy apples. The sweet and sour refreshing taste will leave them wanting more. So bring out the fancy tray and let the grapes have their way!

Apples… Duh

You might have guessed this one, but we still have to say it. Apples can go great with any dessert or meaty dish. If you want to make a nice salad out of it grab some lettuce, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and your favorite vinegarette. When you combine these flavors together you will go looking for seconds.

Raspberries, Yay!

Raspberries can be either sweet or tangy. Either way, we love them. If you want to fancy a few things up add some yogurt, 1 ounce of sake, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, and 1 cup of apple juice. This makes a great alcoholic smoothie without all the fuss.

As always my friends, stay happy, stay healthy, and keep moving forward.

  1. I rarely have pineapple, but I love it! My superbowl snacks were much less healthy than fruit though!

I love pineapple as well. Maybe next year you can try to add a little fruit option and see how it goes.

      1. We live in Rochester, NY so we have the luxury of amazing fruit at Wegmans. We should have picked up one of their fruit bowls.
