Wastrel of Consequence

Wastrel of Consequence

You knew the world was rigged against you
But nonetheless, you did your best to overcome
And when nothing changed, you blamed the weather

It did not stop your world from crashing
Nor your heart from breaking into pieces
And yet you blamed another still in your ignorance

The years it took for you to realize the difference
Between failure and success can be measured
By the breaths, you held in hope of finding peace

Now it’s time to breathe again with more sense
You are a wastrel of raw pressure and consequence

As always, my friends, stay happy, healthy, and wise.
