Tormenting my dreams

Tormenting my dreams

Photo by Masha Raymers on Pexels.com

They haunt me still
Like lost memories
These dreams of mine
Bring me your hope
And entwine me
Lies

I used to dream of you
Of love and desire
But now my dreams
Are just nightmares
Waiting to haunt me
Lies

You once made me smile
It was a joke of some sort
I chuckled, and I snort
Holding on to the laughter
I wish I had laughed more
Lies

I keep dreaming of things
People, places, and things
Of all the words I spoke in
A year of silence with you
I must have dreamt too much
Lies

All that’s left to dream of is you
Lies
