Rebellious tranquility

Photo by Alfo Medeiros on Pexels.com

Like rain falling on a Wednesday morning
The urge to rebel rises like smoke from a fire
Without warning, it leaves me, floating about

Lost memories refusing to remain lost forever
A rebellion starts in my bones before it overtakes me
Made of the wishes of those who knew me best

Has a rebellion ever felt this peaceful?
