Naked Eyes Hold No Truth

Naked Eyes Hold No Truth

I cover up my eyes
Blinded by the light
Hiding from your lies
Sheltered by the night

I suppose this is my recompense.
My redemption and salvation
This is my consequence
Of seeking revelation

Eyes left naked
Mind left raw
Soul left wasted
Hiding from the law

This misery in my chest
I wish I had never hidden you from the truth
Never ran from the mess
Of my creation, of my root

And now I sit waiting for the sun to set
And now I sit waiting for my eyes to forget
