The luxury of a moment of your time
Give me a dull stone, and I will tell you of its origin
Give me a pretty flower, and I shall tell you of its roots
But if you give me silver and gold, I have no place for such things
A world covered in luxuries does not touch the ice in my heart
Give me a moment of peace, and I will show you a calm heart
Give me a smile that does not fade, and I shall show you a heart of fury
But if you give me your heart of gold, I have no place for such things
A world filled with the luxuries of good people does not touch the hurt in my soul
Give me a thought to think, and I will show you the origins of an idea
Give me a hand to hold, and I shall show you how fingers intertwine
But if you give me all your well wishes, I have no need for such things
A world decorated with the luxuries of your smile does not touch the ice in my heart
If you give me a moment of your time, I will wrap myself in its intricacies
Perhaps that’s all I ever needed
