Sunday Self-Care: Let’s Stretch

Hello friends, it has certainly been a while since we last spoke. How are you doing?

No seriously, how are you doing?

Lately, my back has been in so much pain, part of me wants to call it old age, but the other part knows it’s chronic pain.

For the last three weeks, I have been in horrible pain every day, so I have to spend at least 30 minutes stretching every night.

Here are some ways I care for myself despite the pain making my back stiff.

  • Rolling my shoulders for 30 seconds in each direction.
  • Hamstring stretches, especially followed by hip stretches.
  • Yoga, preferably using the Down Dog app.

There are plenty of stretches you can do on your bed, like the lotus pose.

Don’t forget that a simple forward fold can also help your back.

Taking care of yourself is an ongoing process, remember to stretch and drink water.
