Hey June: June Goals and Musings

Well, hello there.

I keep coming and going like a lover that has yet to make up their mind. Forgive me. Being in love with oneself and poetry is always a struggle to be more than words on paper.

Some days, I fear, I will crumble like a forgotten memory, discarded by time and common sense. So to fight the voices in my head that tells me the world is an impossible little ball of fun, I’ll do a lot more writing and a lot less thinking.

Here are my June goals.

  1. Enter a poetry contest.
  2. Write a poem a day for the month.
  3. Publish an article a week for Medium and here.
  4. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and try to appreciate the things around me.

Did you see my list getting longer with each attempt to write? Sigh, that’s just how I am right now. But my hope is to keep growing as a writer.

Until next time, I wish you well on your journey.
