A Cup of Disaster

Photo by Samson Katt on Pexels.com

Flimsy ideas of justice decay at my door

I breathe in once more

Was it from the laughter that we die?

Or the sublte feat of disaster?

I hope to know such an answer

White lies lay dormant on my tongue.

They plague my consciousness

Like moth drawn to a flame

Forgive me once more

A cup of disaster lay by the floor boards

And I am undone
