It’s a new year, and the resolutions are amazing to read. This year will be my third year of making no resolutions, and just yelling to the winds of old “DO YOUR WORST AND WATCH ME SOAR!!!!” Lol, it sounds like I am challenging the writing gods, and I am.
I should pick my fights more efficiently, like pissing off the god of prose poetry first before I take on the god of all-out fiction. Before I dive into how to fight a god of literature, I should get back to telling you my January goals and why they are essential to moving forward.

Poetry has become such a fantastic part of my life, and I want to change my blog to reflect that. I revamped my blog last December, and the feeling of discontentment with what I had done continued to grow until it reached its peak this morning. Lol, I hate it. I’m not too fond of the colours or the layout. I will be returning to my old format.
I have so much I want to accomplish this year, but to start, here are things I want to do this month.
- Submit poetry to at least four literary journals for publication this month.
- Begin to go through my poetry and pick out the ones I want for my next collection.
- Write a short story
- Be kind to myself when I am having a flare-up.
I look forward to taking the time to pursue my tangential thoughts.
