I Fear The Sound

In a cold and lonely place

That’s where I know you’ll be

When the sun has gone to sleep

And the moon refuses to show its face

You’ll suddenly appear

As if you were a nightmare

Covered in darkness

Detested by the light

You’ll creep into my crevices

Plant your roots right next to my self confident

And you will grow

Each moment worst than the last

Turning

Second-guessing

A fraction of who I used to be

Fear

It holds me still

Slightly breathing

My skin is chilled

I fear the light

I hate the sound

I fear myself

I fear what I have found
