Day 8: 30 Days of Yoga with Down Dog

I missed a few days of yoga due to just being too darn sick to do anything. My pain has gone down and my motivation is back so here I am continuing where I left off. I contemplated about starting over, but I eventually decided that life offers a few re-dos and I was not given one. I now continue where I left off and will strive to finish my thirty days no matter how long it takes.

I contemplated about starting over, but I eventually decided that life offers a few re-dos and I was not given one. I now continue where I left off and will strive to finish my thirty days no matter how long it takes.

23 minutes of pure confusion and a few sore spots later, I begin to question if the human body was meant to stretch this way. Yes, I have seen the videos of those yoga stars who can defy physics and ascend to a new realm of reality, but this body was not meant to do a twisted chair pose and breathe into the stretch. I was questioning how in the world do I breathe in this position. I think my arms are falling off.

This will sound like one of those moments when someone will tell me, Oh you just have to let go, and after a while, you will love it. I bet you are right but as of right now my hips hurt and I want to take a nap.

Today, I did a full practice all the way from warm up to cool down. I may have stopped once or twice due to dizziness, but overall I felt better when it was over. I can no admit that I am terribly out of shape and will try to get my life together and start down a new path. Truth be told, I did not expect my body to be this bad, but I want to make sure that going forward I am willing to stick through it no matter the pain or frustration I face going forward. I may have to miss a few days, but I will finish my 30 days.

As always my friends, stay healthy, stay happy, and keep moving forward.
