
Today, I started out doing my first day of down dog and it was far less stressful than I thought it would be. I set my session for 25 minutes and put it in restorative mode with no boost at all. I wanted to take it slow and I knew that my normal sessions were 30 long minutes, but I didn’t think I had enough stamina for a 30-minute session due to my pain.
I figured that if I started at something like 25 minutes, I could gauge whether or not I was up for it. For this session, I felt a little bit sore, I was not able to stretch as much as I used to be able to in previous years, but it was not the end of the world and that’s awesome.
Thoughts Post Session
My mind was all over the place and my breathing was horrible. At times, I felt like I would just give up, but I wanted to push through. I totally ate too much after this session and will definitely regret it tomorrow, but for now I love baby pose and there is nothing you can do to change my mind.
