Over the last few weeks, I have has a rough time with my health. I am currently getting better and want to continue to move forward in my search for a balanced well-being. I have decided that I can no longer stand by and hope that things will get better. I wanted to take a look into workouts that are more conducive to Fibromyalgia and its symptoms.
I thought yoga would be a good substitute for hardcore lifting, running, jumping, any other form of exercise that stresses my muscles. I have done yoga in the past and have seen the benefits up close and personal. I also saw that different types of yoga were also beneficial such as restorative yoga, hot yoga, and meditation, and I wanted to take a journey with the Down Dog App for the next 30 days.
This will not be an easy journey for me. I will be tested in my discipline and my desire to be healthy more than words can say. So for the next 30 days, I am going to be doing yoga every single day. This means I may do it in the middle of the night because I forgot to do it during the day or I may do it at the beginning of the day when I wake up. The goal is to consistently do yoga and to see how it effects my body.
I will try my best to do little snippets of what the day was like and how I felt after the practice. I want to talk about what my breathing is like, my level of pain, and just basically a little update on how my overall body is feeling. I want to be able to better understand how exercise affects my overall health; from intense exercise to really calming exercise. To be safe, I have decided that along with yoga I want to try meditation as well.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you guys, but I’m pretty sure half way through I’m going to break down and cry and curl up into a little ball and regret even ever started this journey. I think that most of the times when we start something new, we have to focus on sticking to it even when our motivation is low. That’s my goal, my motivation is probably going to wither away, I can already tell but I want to be disciplined enough to go forward and try this out for the next couple days, the next 30 days to be exact.
I also wanted to go ahead and tell you guys the type of mat I’m using in the next post. It is extraordinary. It is wider and longer than the ones I am used to, plus it’s extra soft for my sensitive skin. I have been using down dog app and it is amazing. I will continue to use it for the next 30 days so stick around. I’ll try to do an update every day but if I don’t kill me okay because life is crazy over here my pain is flaring up.
My practice starts on the 18th of this month and I am looking forward to it.
As always my friends, stay happy, stay healthy, and keep moving forward.
