A Mother’s Lost

Sad woman in the night

Light streams in a window

I rather not see it

Life becomes meaningless

When you are not here

You were so small

With cute little feet

And your eyes

Held my heart with each peek

Your giggles filled my soul

Until I could take no more

But now a tomb stone has your name

Gone too soon

With so much to gain

I will never see the smile in your eyes again

Or your disdain for peas

Please come back to me

My precious little child

My heart no longer beats the way it used to

It has left with you

My pride

My joy

My heart no longer beats without you
