Where the Lilacs Bloom

When I die

Bury me on the hill where the lilacs grow

Sing a sweet song

The one you always sing

Let your voice rise to the heavens

Or sink to the lowest depths

So when I die, I’ll still be able to hear your voice.

Let the last note linger in the air

As tears rush to faces

And then with all that you have in you my love

Let me go with a heart of glee

Remember all our sweet memories

And when you think of me

Smile, my beloved

Let your heart no longer grieve for me

And when each spring comes

And the lilacs bloom

Wish me well on my next adventure
