When starting out on a new journey it’s important to be as prepared as you can be. Yet life can be unpredictable at times and that’s okay.
A detox can do wonders for your diet, not only does it help get rid of some of the harmful things in your body. It can also provide some much-needed nourishment as well.
Our recipe for a detox might be a bit spicy but trust us, it’s worth it. This recipe makes 3 pints of detox. Take twice a day for a month and you will realize that you feel so much better. If you have chronic pain or fibromyalgia then there are clear benefits here. The turmeric helps with your inflammation and the cinnamon relaxes your muscles.
Note of Caution
If you are sensitive or allergic to nightshade plants, then please do not take this detox.
Each person’s body is different so this may only cause you to have some gas and not help with bloating and constipation as it did for me.
If you have diabetes, then the amount of cinnamon may have a negative interaction with your medication. That being said you can just remove the cinnamon.
1/2 cup of Lemon juice
1 gallon of water
1/4 cup of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup of turmeric
1/8 cup of cinnamon ( or 4 cinnamon sticks)
1 cup of chopped ginger
Heat water over high heat in a large pot and wait for it to start boiling. 10 minutes
Add all the ingredient and stir until they aren’t lumping together anymore. 5 minutes
Let the pot boil for 20 minutes and then remove from heat.
You can take a 1/2 cup of the detox and dilute it with 1 cup of hot water if that is still too strong for you add a bit more water.
Sweeten with honey and add a few lemon slices.
